Postpartum Support
Postpartum Support (Mütterpflege)
Postpartum support is something every new mother needs. While her partner can serve as one of the most important figures in her life during this time, they often need additional support—especially if living abroad or far away from close friends and family. Luckily, a doula can help fill this role in offering assistance with baby care, household chores and meal preparation.
As a postpartum doula, I accompany you during the early days of motherhood. My role includes:
-providing emotional support in the fourth trimester
-discussing your birth experience and any resulting feelings
-assisting with baby care (ex. bathing, changing)
-supporting you and your partner during difficult phases (ex. sleep)
-preparing meals and snacks (ex. warm meals, energy bites)
-providing support with (breast)feeding
-providing baby wearing support
-helping you understand new family dynamics (ex. with siblings)
-supporting you with light household chores
Your health insurance may partially/fully cover the costs of a postpartum doula!
I’d love to help you get reimbursed. Contact me for more information.
